Do you want to see Copenhagen from above? That’s easier said than done, because Copenhagen is quite flat. Perfect when you’re biking around, but not very good when you want to enjoy a good view. However, there are good places to go, if you want to look out over the treetops and roofs. These are three favorite places of mine.
Taarnet at Christiansborg
Do you know Christiansborg, the parliament building in Copenhagen? The big building has a tower, and when you get to the top, you have an amazing view over Copenhagen. It dosen’t cost anything to visit the tower, but since you’re actually inside the parliament building, you need to go through security.

The hill at Amager Fælled
If you bike (or walk, but that’s quite a walk) at Amager and Islands Brygge towards Ørestaden, you’ll find Amager Fælled. It’s an old green area, where the trees, flowers and berries grow wild. It’s perfect if you want to get a break from all the cars and people for a while. At Amager Fælled, there’s a hill – and when climbing that, you’ll have a nice view over this part of Copenhagen.

Vor Frelsers Kirke
Vor Frelsers Kirke is an old church at Christianshavn. The church itself is beautiful, but I mostly come their to climb the tower. It costs 35 dkk to climb the tower, and it’s quite some way up their, but if you dare to try it, it gives you the most amazing view over Copenhagen.
Address: Sankt Annæ Gade 29, Christianshavn
