Two years ago I started a post with the words “Summer in Copenhagen is magical”. Summer in Copenhagen is still magical (specially this summer – I’ve never experienced this good weather in Denmark before!), so I thought it would be a good idea with some updated favorites.
Fancy some nice street food? Go to Reffen (if you don’t like a loooong walk, you can take the “boat bus” from Nyhavn, it works just like a normal bus). Reffen is situated on Refshaleøen and what used to be an anonymous industrial part of town is now filled with colorful containers with tiny street food kitchens. I’ve tried several of the food stands and everything has been really good.

This is my favorite ice cream shop in Copenhagen. And when the weather is this good, ice cream is always a good idea! Jane (the girl who owns the shop) makes amazing soft ice cream. She always has two different flavors with different types of topping to choose from. The menu changes two times a week so make sure to check their Instagram if you want to know which flavors Jane serves when you’re in town.

I love lobster rolls and Hooked serves the best ones in Copenhagen. This is the perfect place to go if you want some fried fish, fries and a cocktail. There are lots of benches and tables outside so it’s a perfect summer spot.

A new favorite of mine. Choose between four different fish dishes and combine with green snacks. The interior is a mixture between a Greek restaurant next to the ocean and a summer house from the 1970s. Honestly – what’s not to love about a place like that?

This creative place is like a small summer park for grown ups. You can play ping pong, take a nap in a hammock, go for a swim or just hang out in the sun. And there are no need to feel fancy – I always see lots of people hanging out in their bikinis and swimming trunks during the day, just reading a good book and enjoying a drink. Sometimes there are concerts and DJs playing – you can check out all the activities at their FB-page.
