My parents visited the other day. It was a sunny Saturday, and the weather called for a lunch outside. We had a few things to do downtown, and ended up deciding to meet the Film Critic Guy next to Torvehallerne for something to eat.

At a sunny Saturday, it can be quite hard to find a place to sit in the sun, since there are so many people outside Torvehallerne. However, at Tango Grillen, there were a few seats left, which fitted us perfectly. I’ve wanted to grab something to eat at Tango Grillen since last summer, but I’ve never had the chance. Finally!

Tango Grillen means “the tango bbq”. I’m not sure where the tango comes from, but the bbq comes directly from the grill. We ordered a steak sandwich each, which consists of newly grilled meat, onion, dressing and bread. Together with a beer in the sun, it’s delicious.

If you want a local place with no tourists, Tango Grillen might not be the right choice, since it’s so central. But please try it anyway! It’s good, and even if the Swedish tourists sit at the table next to you, the atmosphere tells you the summer is near, and that it’s time for a glass of wine or beer. I’ll bet you’ll like it just as much as I do.
