Guide to Copenhagen: Pluto

The Film Critic Guy and I don’t give each other presents on birthdays. Instead we invite each other out. Last time the Film Critic Guy took me to Osteria 16 and a few weeks ago we celebrated him with a dinner at Pluto. It was quite an evening.

In my opinion, Pluto isn’t a very Danish restaurant. The food is slightly French. There is lots of meat going on at the plate. The music is loader than at any other restaurant I’ve visited and the industrial rough style inside reminds me of New York. It was love at first visit for me - I adore places that go all in.

We arrived closer to 9PM than 8PM and didn’t have to think very much before ordering. Pluto is well-known for their 12 courses-menu and of course we should try it.

The 12 courses were amazing. And heavy.
Dish 8 was an onion sausage in onion sauce with onions on top.
Dish 9 was marinated ribs.
Dish 10 was an excellent slice of meat with half an asparagus on top.

We didn’t leave until 1AM. 12 courses, one drink and two glasses of wine later. I was full. Slightly drunk. Impressed by the food, the atmosphere and the best service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant in Copenhagen.
