Guide to Copenhagen - Østerberg Ice CreamGuide to Copenhagen - Østerberg Ice Cream

There is a new ice cream bar in town. Or at Østerbro, to be more precise. Østerberg Ice Cream opened this summer, and I saw several photos of delicious ice creams at Instagram from the place before I got an opportunity to try it on my own.

The happy Instagrammers that wrote about Østerberg Ice Cream didn’t just write about how delicious the ice cream was. They also cheered because of the fact that Østerberg Ice Cream only uses natural ingredients – the flavors come from real fruits, nuts and ingredients and there are no preservatives. Not every ice cream bar in town can brag about that, and when I got a chance to try out the place on my own, I could taste the difference.

When I was there, I tried two flavors – chocolate and passion fruit. The flavors change from day to day, and if there are brownies, caramel sauce, roasted nuts and other ingredients, they are all made in the store. According to the previously mentioned Instagrammers, the brownie ice cream might be the top one so far. That wasn’t there when I stopped by last time, so I guess that calls for a new visit quite soon…
