Small organic supermarkets seem to be the new black in Copenhagen, and no one can be happier than me. I love that it’s suddenly possible to just go down a street and suddenly stand next to yet another small organic shop. One of the newest ones in Copenhagen is KSOIK in Elmegade, which opened three months ago.

I used to work in Elmegade last fall and grew fond of KSOIK quite fast. They have organic candy, small bags of organic vegetable chips, organic sodas and quite a big range of other (more healthy) products as well. Perfect when you need some sugar and energy in the middle of yet another working afternoon. They serve coffee and tea as well, and when the weather gets better, you can sit outside and watch the hipsters stroll down the street, while enjoying an organic cup of coffee with good conscious.

As you might have guest, KSOIK is a bit more expansive than the normal small convenience stores around town. Organic products are more expensive than conventional ones, and when I pop by KSOIK I’m never in doubt that I bought something of good quality. I can definitely recommend their gluten free organic licorice candy – it has become my favorite candy!
