Who stands behind this site?
I do. I’m a 25 year old Swedish girl living in Copenhagen since three years back. I recommend you my favorite spots and give you information about Copenhagen, because I’m so sad that most of the people going to Copenhagen never experience more than the city centre and the typical tourist attractions. I also have a Danish food blog and a Danish radio program about food. However, every now and then, you’ll be able to find posts from guest bloggers at the site.

Can I e-mail you a question about Copenhagen?
Sure! You can send me an e-mail at hello (at), or just leave a comment. I promise to answer as fast as I can.

I’ve heard that there are lots of shops in Denmark where you can’t pay with your credit card. Is that right?
Unfortunately the rumor is true. Many places only except “Dan-kort”, which is a special type of credit card that Danes have. In the city centre and at well-known restaurants you’ll be able to pay with your card, but most other places (and most of the places in this guide) will only except cash.

I’ll only stay in Copenhagen for a weekend. Where should we book a hotel?
Good question! Many hotel in Copenhagen are situated at Vesterbro, close to the main train station. That’s maybe not the coolest part of town, but since Copenhagen are so small, it’s okay, because you can easily get to other parts of town. I believe that Vesterbro and Nørrebro are the best parts of town to hang out, so I would try to find something in one of those parts of town.
