If you’ve ever visited this site before, you can’t have missed how much I like Kølsters Tolv Haner – in my opinion the best beer bar in Copenhagen. (In case you’ve missed it, they have everything – great organic beer, a cool atmosphere and the perfect sidewalk with benches and colored lamps in the trees outside).

Last summer, just when I thought Kølsters couldn’t get any better, they opened a small ice cream shop in half of the bar. Or, to be precise – Siciliansk Is, which has their main ice cream shop on Christianshavn, opened a small ice cream stand inside the bar. Siciliansk Is serves Italian ice cream, and even if beer and ice cream might be quite an untraditional match, I think it works out perfectly. At least the combination makes it a lot harder to leave the sunny benches outside Kølsters. I mean, when you’re done with your ice cream, you can just have a beer.

A few words about the ice cream before I end. Siciliansk Is does what every ice cream shop should do. Which means that they offer three flavors no matter what size a cup or waffle you buy. Perfect!

ADDRESS: Inside Kølsters Tolv Haner, Rantzausgade 56, Nørrebro

PRICE: 25 DKK for a small waffle, 35 DKK for a medium waffle, 45 DKK for a large waffle
