I like Vinhanen. It’s different from any other wine bar I visited, and in my book, different = good. While many wine bars in Copenhagen look quite traditional, with many bottles, small tables and an intimate atmosphere, this place rather reminds me of a modern coffee bar.

Here, you either buy your wine to go or to stay. So far I’ve only tried the “to stay”-option, however, I’ve heard and seen that the “to go”-option is quite a success as well. When I was there a few nights ago, several people came with their bottles, got them filled, paid, and continued out in the night.

Vinhanen keep their wines at giant buckets, and tap the wine to your glass or bottle. They have a small range of wine, but in large amounts, which explains why it’s quite cheap. The place is big, with high and low tables and smiling young people thar are constantly coming and going. The area around Blågårdsgade has gotten yet another sweet place to hang out.
